Sewing fabrics like fur, leather, pleather, and vinyl are a challenge that require different techniques and materials to conquer, and in this free lecture Wendy of Sew Much More will walk students through tips, tricks, and hacks to make sewing a cinch.

In this lecture you'll learn:

  • What materials and tools are needed to sew through thick fabrics like canvas and leather
  • How to prepare unique fabrics like faux fur, vinyl, and sequins for sewing
  • Do's and don'ts of sewing thick, messy, or otherwise complex fabric

Prerequisite Skills:

  • None, beginner friendly

Sew Much More is a haven for sewing enthusiasts located in Wakesha, WI. They sell Bernina, Bernette and Baby Lock machines as well as over 4,000 bolts of fabric and more thread and notions than any other small business in Wisconsin. They offer classes for beginners as well as seasoned sewists, and it's a place where tradition meets innovation and where every customer leaves not just with supplies but also with a sense of belonging and renewed creativity.

  • Purchasing a ticket reserves one (1) seat at this class. For multiple tickets, please add more than one ticket to your cart
  • All tickets are final sale. In the event of a no-show, no refunds will be available
