Ready to take your crafting to the next level?
The Otakon Cosplay Studio presented by CUT/SEW offers classes, demos, and lectures meant to improve your cosplay skills through hands-on making. The Cosplay Studio area includes three panel rooms for classes – one fully stocked with Bernette sewing machines for sewing courses, one equipped with foam, heat guns, resin, dye baths, and more for crafting workshops, and one with communal tables and mixed media supplies from our sponsors for attendees to experiment with.
Each class includes all materials and supplies to complete a project and offers valuable insights and one-on-one time with experts in their field. All workshops include a small fee for materials and take-home projects, and class sizes are small so all attendees will get personalized, hands-on help. Most classes are beginner-friendly and all are welcome to join!

After Hours at the Otakon Cosplay Studio:

After heading to the Cosplay Studio be sure to check out Crafter Party, CUT/SEW’s signature late-night event: a relaxed, come-and-go space where attendees can hang out, try cozy craft kits, and connect with fellow makers. This year’s event features the debut of our Makers Market, a free fabric and cosplay supply swap where you can take what you need and leave what you don’t – a creative solution for a post-Joann world. Whether you're stitching with friends or just vibing, it's the perfect way to unwind after hours.
Want to participate in the Makers Market? Simply bring what you no longer need for swapping! No pre-registration is required and all are welcome to participate.
Crafter Party & Makers Market Hours:
Friday, August 8th + Saturday, August 9th
