We believe cosplay is for everyone — and part of being beginner-friendly means showing up with all the tools, guidance, and encouragement people need to get started or go further. Whether someone’s picking up a needle for the first time or diving into advanced beadwork, we’re there to help them learn by doing — not just watching.
 The CUT/SEW Cosplay Studio is a fully curated, three-day workshop track designed to bring high-quality, hands-on cosplay education straight to the convention floor.
This isn’t your average panel track. We bring the classroom to the con with an immersive, fully-managed experience, taught by industry professionals who know the craft inside and out.
// HOW WE'RE DIFFERENT
We’re not just dropping in for a panel or two — we’re running a full, three-day educational track, sponsored and managed entirely by CUT/SEW. Our team works with conventions across the country to bring in expert instructors and offer accessible, creative workshops with real skills attendees can take home.
We handle everything so you don’t have to:
- Workshop planning, scheduling, and ticketing
- Hiring and paying professional instructors
- Check-in and attendance management
- Fully stocking workshop rooms with tools, machines, and materials
- Set-up, break-down, and on-site management
- Bonus: we even make the workshops look great on your schedule with our in-house graphics
Our goal is to create an elevated, craft-focused space within cons — one that feels exciting, welcoming, and skill-building for cosplayers and crafters of all levels.

There's a lot of noise out there, but we believe cosplay education should come from people who really know their stuff. Our past instructors include:
- Aissac.Cos & Aobittybaby – Professional stitchers at two of NYC's "big three" costume shops, with credits that include Broadway shows, film, TV, and the Met Gala.
- Jess Barrera of Sallie Tomato – Owner of a nationally distributed accessory pattern & supplies brand and established sewing educator.
- StarsofCassiopeia – Harvard grad, professional engineer, and founder of a 3D printing startup with deep cosplay tech expertise.
- Cowbuttcrunchies – Internationally recognized cosplayers and published authors of cosplay tutorial workbooks.
- PlexiCosplay – Professional craft educator and prop maker with credits that include contract work for video game companies and Netflix productions.
