AMKE CLASS // Create a Custom Foam Pattern

Location: Anime Milwaukee 2025 - Baird Center, North Hall N1 Level, N108C Workshop Room

Class Length: 2 hours

Everyone is shaped differently, and this can be difficult if you have a piece of armor or even a boot cover that you need to create for your unique body type. In this class, we'll learn how to make a ClingWrap and duct tape patterns and then transfer that pattern onto paper so that it can be usable for sewing, foam-smithing, and more. This is a "choose your own adventure" class where you can decide if you want the pattern to be for a boot cover, breastplate, or something else! Some can be done individually, others will require you partner up with a fellow attendee in class.

In this workshop you'll learn:

• How to create a ClingWrap cast of your own body
• How to use a form of your body to create a pattern
• How to transfer draped patterns onto paper

Prerequisite Skills:

• None, beginner friendly

About the Instructor:

Plexi Cosplay is an award-winning cosplayer from Maryland specializing in engineering and costume design. She works as a costume and prop designer for Hacksmith Industries and has worked for international game companies, streaming services like Netflix, and more. The Nitty Gritty:

• To participate in this class you must be at least 16 years of age
• Anyone under 16 years of age MUST be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian and a liability waiver must be signed

• Purchasing a ticket reserves one (1) seat at this class. For multiple tickets, please add more than one ticket to your cart
• All tickets are final sale. In the event of a no-show, no refunds will be available

• All classes start promptly at the time they're scheduled for. In the event of tardiness, you may miss certain aspects of the class and may not be able to complete the scheduled project in full
