You've got a 3D print off your printer – now what? In this hands-on workshop, cosplayer & engineer StarsOfCassiopeia will walk students through the differences between various 3D printing methods and showcase techniques for sanding, filing, polishing, and painting raw FDM and resin prints. Students will complete the finishing for a Genshin Impact 3D printed vision. Students will be able to take home the project for stringing on a chain or pendant.
Please note: While we will be adhering to proper safety guidelines and precautions – including masking, off-gassing, and skin protection – 3D printing materials and polishing chemicals can cause short-term irritation to the eyes, nose, and throat, as well as headaches, nausea, and dizziness. Those with a history of respiratory issues, migraines, or any other health predisposition that could be aggravated by these fumes are kindly asked to attend at their own risk.
