In this hand sewing workshop, you’ll decorate a tie with appliqués, buttons, and layered details to create a cute, wearable collage. Mix textures, arrange your favorite elements, and enjoy making something a little unexpected. Along the way, you’ll practice useful hand sewing techniques that reach far beyond this project– from securing a loose button to adding a personal touch to clothing and costumes.

• How to thread a needle, knot your thread, and secure your stitches.
• Use basic hand stitches to attach decorative elements.
• Position and sew on appliqués.
• Attach buttons securely.
• Mend small wear and tear on pre-existing clothing

About the Instructor:

Aissac is a professional costumer from NYC that specializes in pattern making, beading, hand finishing, and garment construction. They’ve worked on shows for both film and Broadway, such as Wicked, The Lion King, Gilded Age, and the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic. • To participate in this workshop, a liability waiver must be completed for all participants
• Anyone under 16 years of age MUST be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian
• Space is limited and all tickets are first come first serve
• Purchasing a ticket reserves one (1) seat at this class. For multiple tickets, please add more than one ticket to your cart
