Meet your next cuddle companion, made by you! In this machine sewing workshop, you’ll create a puffy cat-shaped pillow with sparkly eyes and a detachable hanging tail. Full of personality and ready to lounge on your bed or couch, this cute project is a playful introduction to sewing plushies.

We’ll walk through sewing curves, attaching eyes, and adding hardware that lets your cat’s tail clip on and off. You’ll leave with a finished feline friend and practical skills for making more stuffed creatures of your own.

In this workshop you'll learn:

• How to sew curved shapes with a sewing machine.
• How to attach sparkly eyes using techniques for stuffed animals and amigurumi.
• Secure findings like D rings and clasps.
• Create and attach a detachable hanging tail.
• Stuff your plushie evenly to give it shape and softness.
• Close the stuffing opening with hand stitching.

Prerequisite Skills:

• This is a newbie level class. Previous machine sewing experience completing at least one small project is recommended.

About the Instructor:

Madison May, the head pattern maker at CUT/SEW, founded the company in 2016. With almost fifteen years of experience in the costume and fashion industry, Madison has provided patterns to both broadway & off-broadway productions, major US theme parks, international cruise lines, and television. Cosplay has been a hobby of hers since 2005 and she also is active in the cosplay photography community under the moniker of Final-Egirl.

• To participate in this workshop, a liability waiver must be completed for all participants
• Anyone under 16 years of age MUST be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian
• Space is limited and all tickets are first come first serve
• Purchasing a ticket reserves one (1) seat at this class. For multiple tickets, please add more than one ticket to your cart
• All tickets are final sale. In the event of a no-show, no refunds will be available
