Learn the basics of hand sewing while creating a soft, custom felt bookmark inspired by cozy storybooks, vintage crafts, and handmade keepsakes.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, students will learn foundational sewing techniques including running stitch, blanket stitch, and simple felt appliqué while assembling their own layered felt bookmark. Choose from a colorful assortment of pre-cut shapes, or design and cut your own using reclaimed felt scraps to create something completely unique.
Along the way, we’ll explore how small fabric scraps can be reused creatively rather than discarded, making this class equal parts cozy craft session and approachable introduction to sustainable making. Whether you gravitate toward moons and stars, strawberries and florals, or entirely original designs, you’ll leave with a finished bookmark, practical sewing skills, and the confidence to keep stitching long after class ends.
