Join Broadway costumer Blue of Aobittybaby in this hands on workshop meant to help you master couture seam finishes for your costumes. In this class hand sewing will be used to demonstrate advanced stitches, techniques, and seam finishes meant to take your cosplay to the next level. Students will be able to follow along as each stitch is demonstrated, and all participants leave the class with a labeled fabric sample that they've created featuring each stitch.

In this workshop you'll learn:
- How to perform couture hand stitches such as:
- Pad stitching
- The fit primer stitch
- Cross stitching, catch stitching, and slip stitching
- The prick vs pick invisible stitch
- The difference between a chiffon/french seam and when to use each
- The double roll invisible hem
- The blind hem
Prerequisite Skills:
- Intermediate/advanced - previous experience sewing on both a machine and hand sewing is required

About the Instructor:
Blue is a professional costumer from NYC that specializes in pattern making, draping, and garment construction. She's worked on shows for Broadway, such as Wicked, The Lion King, and more. You can find her on Instagram at Aobittybaby.

The Nitty Gritty:
- To participate in this workshop, a liability waiver must be completed for all participants
- Anyone under 16 years of age MUST be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian
- Space is limited and all tickets are first come first serve
- Purchasing a ticket reserves one (1) seat at this class. For multiple tickets, please add more than one ticket to your cart
- All tickets are final sale. In the event of a no-show, no refunds will be available
- Tickets will be delivered digitally to the email address provided at checkout. This digital ticket will be needed to enter the event.
- All classes start promptly at the time they're scheduled for. In the event of tardiness, you may miss certain aspects of the class and may not be able to complete the scheduled project in full.
