Step in front of the camera with confidence. In this lecture, cosplayer Aissac.Cos and photographer Final-Egirl break down the fundamentals of posing for cosplay photography — no modeling experience required.

This talk focuses on the why behind good poses: how posture, body language, and intention shape the final image, and how to adapt your posing to different characters, costumes, and comfort levels. Whether you freeze up during photoshoots or want to move beyond stiff “con poses,” this lecture offers practical tools to help you feel more confident, natural, and expressive in front of the lens.

Aissac and Madison will also share real-world insight from years of cosplay and photography experience, including how to work with photographers, handle nerves, and advocate for yourself during shoots. The lecture concludes with an open Q&A, where attendees are encouraged to ask questions about posing, confidence, and cosplay photography at any level.

About the Instructor:

Aissac is a professional costumer from NYC that specializes in pattern making, beading, hand finishing, and garment construction. They’ve worked on shows for both film and Broadway, such as Wicked, The Lion King, Gilded Age, and the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic.
