Class Length: 1.5 hours

This class will cover common appliqué techniques, such as a satin stitch and the turned under edge method. Students will work on a sewing machine to properly apply embellishments, and we'll also cover techniques to produce clean stitches, how fabric choices matter for embellishments, and when to use interfacing.

- Various techniques for applying and finishing appliques
- When and how to use interfacing for stability
- How to perform a "satin stitch"
- Tips for keeping your work neat and tidy

About the Instructor:
Kaida has been cosplaying for ten years and incorporates various mediums into her cosplays. She enjoys adding embroidery and appliques to her sewing projects along with use of worbla, Eva foam, and 3D printing for armor and props. Kaida has won various awards such as judge's choice from Jessica Nigri, placing best in journeyman, and has been featured by Arda wigs.

- To participate in this workshop, a liability waiver must be completed for all participants
- Anyone under 16 years of age MUST be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian
- Space is limited and all tickets are first come first serve
- Purchasing a ticket reserves one (1) seat at this class. For multiple tickets, please add more than one ticket to your cart
