This beginner-friendly sewing class introduces the fundamental skills needed to start working with fabric confidently. Participants will learn essential stitches (both hand and machine), how to select appropriate stitches for different fabric types, and how to adjust machine settings such as tension, stitch length, and width for the best results. The class will also cover basic fabric knowledge, including how different materials behave and when adjustments are needed.

About the Instructor:

Ko Play is a Houston-based cosplayer with 13 years of experience bringing characters to life through detailed, hand-crafted costumes. Their skill set includes sewing, pattern making, and foam smithing, with a strong focus on precision and craftsmanship. They are passionate about sharing their knowledge and helping others grow their skills in cosplay creation.
