New to using foam? In this class, we'll learn the basics of working with EVA foam to create armor that looks like real metal, but with less weight and more flexibility. Students will work one-on-one with an instructor to turn a paper pattern into a fully finished pauldron, complete with faux metal paint job.

In this workshop you'll learn:

The basics of working with EVA foam, including tools and supplies needed
How to trace a paper pattern onto EVA foam
How to create a 3D shape from a 2D piece of foam
Priming and prepping EVA foam
How to paint EVA foam to look like real metal

Prerequisite Skills:

None, beginner friendly

About the Instructor:

Plexi Cosplay is an award-winning cosplayer from Maryland specializing in engineering and costume design. She works as a costume and prop designer for Hacksmith Industries and has worked for international game companies, streaming services like Netflix, and more. To participate in this class you must be at least 16 years of age
Anyone under 16 years of age MUST be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian and a liability waiver must be signed
