Hungry to give your armor and foamwork projects more detail? Texturizing foam is a fantastic way to breathe life into a flat material, and in this class we'll experiment with several different ways to add layers and textures to EVA foam samples for a more complex look. Students will have the chance to work with and compare wood burning tools, glues, stamps, and molds, followed by a more organic approach as we learn the tricks to working with foam clay.

In this workshop you'll learn:

The basics of working with EVA foam, including tools and supplies needed
How to create texture on EVA foam using foam clay
How to utilize tools and techniques in conjunction with foam such as wood burning, glue, stamps, and molds to create depth

Prerequisite Skills:

This is a newbie level class, meaning that students should:

Be familiar with EVA foam and its uses
Have completed 1+ EVA foam projects previously

About the Instructor:

Cowbutt Crunchies Cosplay is an internationally acclaimed LGBTQ+ couple whose experimental mixed media builds feature a wide mastery of unique techniques, from advanced embroidery to intricate armor. Their work has been featured in various TV spots and as part of corporate promotions for beloved properties such as Genshin Impact and Marvel. With over 20 years of experience, hundreds of online tutorials, and three published books, their focus is on teaching, innovation, and introducing newcomers to the art of cosplay. The Nitty Gritty:

To participate in this class you must be at least 16 years of age
Anyone under 16 years of age MUST be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian and a liability waiver must be signed
Space is limited and all tickets are first come first serve
